Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 2.87% or 0.130 points to trade at 4.654 at the close. Meanwhile, Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 0.79% or 0.050 points to end at 6.365 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was up 0.36% or 0.15 points to 41.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which fell 3.46% or 0.50 points to trade at 13.95 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) declined 2.50% or 0.37 points to end at 14.41 and Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) was down 1.93% or 0.93 points to 47.34.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 69 to 67 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.87% or 1.01 to $55.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.53% or 0.78 to hit $51.68 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.80% or 9.05 to trade at $1138.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.43% to 1.0459, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.8368.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.41% at 102.73.
