Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 2.13% or 0.69 points to trade at 33.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 1.54% or 0.58 points to end at 38.31 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.17% or 0.040 points to 3.450 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 1.69% or 0.54 points to trade at 31.35 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) declined 1.68% or 0.29 points to end at 16.95 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was down 1.43% or 0.125 points to 8.595.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 71 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.40% or 0.20 to $49.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.53% or 0.26 to hit $48.91 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 2.47% or 29.95 to trade at $1242.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.64% to 1.1336, while EUR/GBP rose 0.96% to 0.7806.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.53% at 94.10.
