Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.81% or 0.3250 points to trade at 8.8600 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 1.66% or 0.13 points to end at 7.97 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.59% or 0.080 points to 5.105 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which fell 2.39% or 0.66 points to trade at 26.94 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) declined 1.28% or 0.55 points to end at 42.50 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 1.18% or 0.054 points to 4.514.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 75 to 64 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.81% or 0.3250 to 8.8600.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 3.17% or 1.70 to $55.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 3.13% or 1.59 to hit $52.41 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.18% or 2.15 to trade at $1183.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.41% to 1.0513, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.8660.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.33% at 102.35.
