Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 0.83% or 0.15 points to trade at 18.13 at the close. Meanwhile, Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) added 0.36% or 0.17 points to end at 47.33 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 0.04% or 0.01 points to 23.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 2.52% or 1.46 points to trade at 56.58 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 2.08% or 0.300 points to end at 14.095 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was down 1.69% or 0.82 points to 47.58.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 93 to 45 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.19% or 0.13 to $69.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.48% or 0.31 to hit $64.78 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.19% or 15.90 to trade at $1352.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.72% to 1.2387, while EUR/GBP fell 0.63% to 0.8728.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.81% at 89.15.
