Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.85% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 0.98% or 0.34 points to trade at 35.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 0.67% or 0.22 points to end at 32.90 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was down 0.18% or 0.020 points to 10.800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 2.15% or 0.125 points to trade at 5.700 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 1.84% or 0.78 points to end at 41.59 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was down 1.83% or 0.29 points to 15.58.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 109 to 22 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.51% or 0.27 to $52.43 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.91% or 0.45 to hit $49.11 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.89% or 11.37 to trade at $1290.67 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1753, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.9056.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 93.38.
