Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YIT), which rose 2.66% or 0.14 points to trade at 5.39 at the close. Meanwhile, DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) added 2.35% or 0.4200 points to end at 18.3000 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 1.45% or 0.28 points to 19.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 7.76% or 0.615 points to trade at 7.310 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 3.03% or 0.390 points to end at 12.490 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was down 2.01% or 0.62 points to 30.28.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 93 to 57 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.03% or 0.390 to 12.490.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.37% or 0.96 to $71.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.21% or 0.73 to hit $60.92 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.60 to trade at $1203.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.77% to 1.1249, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.8751.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 97.31.
