Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 2.48% or 0.40 points to trade at 16.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.87% or 0.69 points to end at 37.60 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 0.40% or 0.12 points to 30.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which fell 1.59% or 0.95 points to trade at 58.75 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 1.26% or 0.21 points to end at 16.42 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was down 1.22% or 0.57 points to 46.11.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 87 to 44 and 22 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 2.64% or 1.49 to $57.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.27% or 1.15 to hit $51.81 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.07% or 13.82 to trade at $1311.32 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.95% to 1.1843, while EUR/GBP fell 0.45% to 0.8808.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 92.48.
