Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which rose 1.36% or 0.44 points to trade at 32.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 0.75% or 0.23 points to end at 30.75 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 0.71% or 0.065 points to 9.225 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 2.10% or 0.1120 points to trade at 5.2320 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 1.46% or 0.55 points to end at 37.00 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was down 1.27% or 0.24 points to 18.71.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 70 to 69 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) rose to all time highs; rising 1.36% or 0.44 to 32.90.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.01% or 0.77 to $77.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.01% or 0.69 to hit $69.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.30 to trade at $1211.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.1698, while EUR/GBP fell 0.87% to 0.9007.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 94.57.
