Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 1.42% or 1.00 points to trade at 71.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 0.94% or 0.038 points to end at 4.085 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 0.80% or 0.36 points to 45.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 1.49% or 0.150 points to trade at 9.890 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) declined 1.44% or 0.07 points to end at 5.14 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was down 1.39% or 0.110 points to 7.790.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 82 to 62 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.42% or 1.00 to 71.20.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 2.24% or 1.69 to $77.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.79% or 1.16 to hit $65.89 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1302.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.37% to 1.1818, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.8801.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 93.36.
