Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 2.02%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 7.93% or 0.2600 points to trade at 3.5400 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 5.82% or 0.29 points to end at 5.25 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 5.77% or 0.188 points to 3.448 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which fell 0.77% or 0.19 points to trade at 24.42 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 0.20% or 0.06 points to end at 29.59 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 0.37% or 0.020 points to 5.385.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 141 to 36 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 0.20% or 0.06 to 29.59.
Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.82% or 0.33 to $40.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 2.19% or 0.83 to hit $38.67 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.01% or 12.80 to trade at $1260.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1164, while EUR/GBP fell 1.03% to 0.7746.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 96.10.
