Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.50%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V), which rose 3.45% or 0.285 points to trade at 8.555 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 2.56% or 0.120 points to end at 4.804 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 2.14% or 0.155 points to 7.405 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which fell 0.72% or 0.17 points to trade at 23.48 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) added 0.44% or 0.10 points to end at 22.68 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 0.54% or 0.018 points to 3.364.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 109 to 59 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.48% or 0.23 to $48.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.96% or 0.46 to hit $48.54 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.74% or 21.75 to trade at $1229.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.70% to 1.1143, while EUR/GBP fell 1.65% to 0.7619.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.38% at 95.59.
