Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.31%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 4.45% or 0.32 points to trade at 7.39 at the close. Meanwhile, Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) added 3.57% or 1.30 points to end at 37.75 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 3.17% or 0.63 points to 20.53 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 0.38% or 0.14 points to trade at 37.19 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 0.27% or 0.10 points to end at 37.39 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was 0.00% or 0.000 points to 3.924.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 93 to 47 and 14 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 2.11% or 1.11 to $53.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.13% or 1.05 to hit $50.40 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.48 to trade at $1252.32 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.77% to 1.1189, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8591.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.62% at 97.16.
