Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Utilities and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.29%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.57% or 0.1850 points to trade at 5.3650 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 2.88% or 0.18 points to end at 6.60 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) was up 1.94% or 0.35 points to 18.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which rose 0.16% or 0.05 points to trade at 31.91 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 0.20% or 0.008 points to end at 4.022 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 0.47% or 0.13 points to 27.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 145 to 39 and 10 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.33% or 0.61 to $46.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.40% or 0.61 to hit $44.23 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.53% or 6.95 to trade at $1317.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1173, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8566.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 95.75.
