Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.21% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 5.08% or 0.180 points to trade at 3.724 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 4.45% or 0.28 points to end at 6.68 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 3.09% or 0.98 points to 32.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV), which fell 0.54% or 0.20 points to trade at 37.08 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 0.53% or 0.13 points to end at 24.53 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was down 0.29% or 0.07 points to 24.28.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 122 to 49 and 19 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 1.17% or 0.59 to $51.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.80% or 0.40 to hit $50.09 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.15% or 1.90 to trade at $1245.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.1349, while EUR/GBP fell 0.85% to 0.7796.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 93.91.
