Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.91% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which rose 3.76% or 1.31 points to trade at 36.15 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 2.89% or 0.18 points to end at 6.40 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 2.72% or 0.094 points to 3.544 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V), which fell 0.99% or 0.085 points to trade at 8.510 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 0.30% or 0.015 points to end at 5.010 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was down 0.09% or 0.03 points to 34.41.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 113 to 61 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 1.33% or 0.66 to $50.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.62% or 0.79 to hit $49.41 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.08% or 1.05 to trade at $1243.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.1330, while EUR/GBP rose 0.29% to 0.7852.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 94.23.
