Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 3.54% or 0.142 points to trade at 4.152 at the close. Meanwhile, Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) added 3.18% or 0.87 points to end at 28.27 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 2.92% or 0.17 points to 6.17 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which fell 0.12% or 0.04 points to trade at 32.33 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 0.10% or 0.04 points to end at 38.52 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 0.03% or 0.01 points to 38.34.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 120 to 62 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 1.08% or 0.53 to $49.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.82% or 0.39 to hit $47.80 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.00% or 0.05 to trade at $1343.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1305, while EUR/GBP fell 0.50% to 0.8576.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 94.51.
