Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.34% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 2.40% or 0.35 points to trade at 14.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) added 1.43% or 0.45 points to end at 31.94 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 1.25% or 0.130 points to 10.520 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 1.70% or 0.1650 points to trade at 9.5250 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 1.22% or 0.08 points to end at 6.46 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was down 1.17% or 0.58 points to 48.97.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 67 to 58 and 24 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for May delivery was down 2.02% or 1.14 to $55.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 2.02% or 1.09 to hit $52.74 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.32% or 16.50 to trade at $1233.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.0509, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.8570.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 102.15.
