Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 2.14% or 0.16 points to trade at 7.62 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 1.58% or 0.078 points to end at 5.030 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.41% or 0.53 points to 38.02 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 1.21% or 0.41 points to trade at 33.49 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) declined 1.05% or 0.44 points to end at 41.65 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was down 0.59% or 0.15 points to 25.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 88 to 84 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.58% or 0.078 to 5.030.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.06% or 0.03 to $49.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.19% or 0.09 to hit $48.12 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.83% or 22.15 to trade at $1189.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.57% to 1.0564, while EUR/GBP fell 0.90% to 0.8475.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.51% at 101.61.
