Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.24% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.31% or 0.2400 points to trade at 7.4850 at the close. Meanwhile, KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) added 1.80% or 0.78 points to end at 44.15 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was up 1.50% or 0.37 points to 25.03 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which fell 2.55% or 0.150 points to trade at 5.725 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) declined 0.87% or 0.33 points to end at 37.41 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was down 0.56% or 0.08 points to 14.17.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 82 to 50 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.50% or 0.37 to 25.03.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.42% or 0.23 to $53.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.49% or 0.25 to hit $51.22 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 4.35 to trade at $1251.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.1177, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8642.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 97.34.
