Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.24% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 1.71% or 0.110 points to trade at 6.525 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.27% or 0.46 points to end at 36.67 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) was up 1.08% or 0.46 points to 43.13 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 5.86% or 0.292 points to trade at 4.690 at the close. Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) declined 1.03% or 0.49 points to end at 47.14 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was down 0.75% or 0.23 points to 30.47.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 72 to 67 and 14 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.89% or 0.49 to $55.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.60% or 0.32 to hit $53.38 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.90% or 10.25 to trade at $1132.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.10% to 1.0392, while EUR/GBP rose 0.32% to 0.8416.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 103.28.
