Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Telecoms and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.09% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 0.98% or 0.17 points to trade at 17.47 at the close. Meanwhile, Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 0.80% or 0.055 points to end at 6.935 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was up 0.80% or 0.20 points to 25.23 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 1.63% or 0.61 points to trade at 36.81 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.47% or 0.1100 points to end at 7.3750 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was down 0.78% or 0.29 points to 37.12.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 76 to 58 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Valmt (HE:VALMT) rose to all time highs; up 0.98% or 0.17 to 17.47. Shares in Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) rose to 52-week highs; up 0.80% or 0.055 to 6.935. Shares in UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) rose to all time highs; up 0.80% or 0.20 to 25.23.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.01% or 0.52 to $51.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.41% or 0.69 to hit $49.59 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.71% or 8.92 to trade at $1265.32 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.41% to 1.1164, while EUR/GBP rose 0.83% to 0.8733.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 97.46.
