Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.72%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 3.00% or 0.415 points to trade at 14.245 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.44% or 0.1540 points to end at 6.4600 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 2.40% or 0.64 points to 27.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 0.58% or 0.046 points to trade at 7.860 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 34.88 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 0.23% or 0.06 points to 25.75.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 92 to 48 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.23% or 0.06 to 25.75.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 1.09% or 0.70 to $65.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.70% or 0.43 to hit $61.77 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.70 to trade at $1356.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.52% to 1.2439, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8857.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 88.86.
