Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.91%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 6.54% or 0.2370 points to trade at 3.8630 at the close. Meanwhile, Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 4.35% or 1.11 points to end at 26.62 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 2.53% or 0.305 points to 12.365 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 0.03% or 0.01 points to trade at 33.81 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 0.17% or 0.05 points to end at 29.84 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 0.20% or 0.010 points to 4.898.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 82 to 71 and 8 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 2.37% or 1.48 to $64.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 3.71% or 1.98 to hit $55.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 5.50 to trade at $1226.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.1383, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8912.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 96.648.
