Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 2.76% or 0.275 points to trade at 10.240 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 2.71% or 0.136 points to end at 5.146 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was up 2.20% or 0.69 points to 32.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 3.76% or 2.60 points to trade at 66.58 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 1.98% or 0.52 points to end at 25.78 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) was down 1.34% or 0.07 points to 5.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 66 to 65 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.76% or 0.275 to 10.240.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.66% or 0.50 to $76.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.30% or 0.20 to hit $66.56 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.80 to trade at $1302.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1786, while EUR/GBP rose 0.27% to 0.8808.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 93.58.
