Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Personal & Household Goods and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.82% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (CO:GEN), which rose 5.68% or 65.0 points to trade at 1210.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) added 2.89% or 10.7 points to end at 381.2 and Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) was up 2.81% or 7.5 points to 274.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TDC A/S (CO:TDC), which fell 0.72% or 0.25 points to trade at 34.70 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) declined 0.17% or 0.10 points to end at 59.25 and A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) was up 0.06% or 5 points to 8165.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 99 to 34 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) rose to 5-year highs; rising 2.81% or 7.5 to 274.6.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.02% or 0.44 to $42.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $44.92 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1327.70 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.03% to 6.7702, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4396.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 97.17.
