Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.80% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 4.23% or 375 points to trade at 9230 at the close. Meanwhile, A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) added 4.13% or 355 points to end at 8960 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 3.88% or 10.2 points to 273.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which fell 0.46% or 1.3 points to trade at 280.1 at the close. Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) added 0.41% or 3.5 points to end at 866.0 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) was up 0.73% or 1.3 points to 179.6.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 96 to 54 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.52% or 1.04 to $42.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.93% or 0.83 to hit $43.74 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.69% or 20.90 to trade at $1255.90 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.54% to 6.5454, while EUR/DKK fell 0.04% to 7.4432.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.48% at 94.00.
