Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Chemicals and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.33% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which rose 6.76% or 17.9 points to trade at 282.6 at the close. Meanwhile, ISS A/S (CO:ISS) added 0.78% or 2.20 points to end at 285.70 and GN Store Nord (CO:GN) was up 0.28% or 0.5 points to 178.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which fell 6.06% or 20.4 points to trade at 316.0 at the close. Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) declined 5.12% or 30.0 points to end at 556.5 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) was down 1.71% or 200 points to 11510.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 64 to 50 and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in ISS A/S (CO:ISS) rose to all time highs; gaining 0.78% or 2.20 to 285.70. Shares in GN Store Nord (CO:GN) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 0.28% or 0.5 to 178.0.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.21% or 0.10 to $47.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $50.47 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.55% or 6.88 to trade at $1250.12 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.11% to 6.8120, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4370.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 98.94.
