Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Real Estate and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.15%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb), which rose 4.44% or 27.0 points to trade at 634.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Genmab (CO:GEN) added 3.42% or 40.0 points to end at 1210.0 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) was up 2.05% or 8.8 points to 437.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which fell 1.29% or 3.1 points to trade at 237.9 at the close. William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) declined 0.84% or 1.1 points to end at 130.0 and Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) was down 0.11% or 1.0 points to 907.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 113 to 36 and 15 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.23% or 1.11 to $48.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.40% or 1.23 to hit $50.09 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.56% or 7.40 to trade at $1319.50 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.47% to 6.7177, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4388.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.54% at 96.21.
