Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Industrials and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.78% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 4.65% or 400 points to trade at 9000 at the close. Meanwhile, A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) added 4.21% or 350 points to end at 8655 and Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) was up 3.01% or 1.90 points to 65.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TDC A/S (CO:TDC), which fell 2.08% or 0.71 points to trade at 33.50 at the close. Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) declined 0.65% or 3.2 points to end at 490.1 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) was down 0.43% or 1.8 points to 418.3.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 92 to 50 and 24 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.78% or 0.39 to $50.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.13% or 0.57 to hit $51.12 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.85 to trade at $1246.55 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.02% to 6.5520, while EUR/DKK fell 0.03% to 7.4363.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 93.91.
