Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Chemicals and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 2.36% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa), which rose 8.07% or 820.00 points to trade at 10,980.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 7.71% or 805.00 points to end at 11,240.00 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was up 3.02% or 26.70 points to 909.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED), which fell 3.71% or 16.00 points to trade at 415.10 at the close. Genmab (CSE:GMAB) declined 0.65% or 13.00 points to end at 1,990.00 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was down 0.14% or 1.20 points to 844.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 98 to 45 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.72% or 0.56 to $78.82 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.35% or 0.29 to hit $83.08 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.49% or 35.35 to trade at $2,339.65 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.16% to 6.91, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 105.11.
