Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.16% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 5.11% or 660.00 points to trade at 13,575.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) added 4.56% or 580.00 points to end at 13,300.00 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was up 0.93% or 6.50 points to 703.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED), which fell 3.95% or 14.50 points to trade at 352.50 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) declined 3.48% or 7.30 points to end at 202.30 and GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) was down 3.13% or 5.50 points to 170.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 98 to 44 and 21 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.97% or 2.09 to $72.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.75% or 2.09 to hit $77.98 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.50% or 31.10 to trade at $2,042.30 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.30% to 6.83, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 102.25.
