Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Public Services and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.92%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p), which rose 0.93% or 340.0 points to trade at 36740.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) added 0.78% or 10.0 points to end at 1285.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was up 0.59% or 25.0 points to 4260.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which fell 4.05% or 70.0 points to trade at 1660.0 at the close. Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) declined 3.87% or 380.0 points to end at 9450.0 and Isagen SA (CN:ISG) was down 3.24% or 90.0 points to 2690.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 17 to 10.
US coffee C for September delivery was down 3.20% or 4.20 to $126.97 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.58% or 19.00 to hit $3270.50 , while the August Gold contract fell 0.38% or 4.40 to trade at $1167.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.21% to 2636.40, while BRL/COP rose 0.05% to 838.10.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.73% at 96.45.
