Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.93% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 1.87% or 25.0 points to trade at 1365.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) added 1.50% or 150.0 points to end at 10120.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) was up 1.50% or 940.0 points to 63500.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Isagen SA (CN:ISG), which fell 0.85% or 35.0 points to trade at 4060.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 0.60% or 15.0 points to end at 2505.0 and Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was down 0.31% or 120.0 points to 38500.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 23 to 5 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) rose to 3-years highs; rising 1.50% or 150.0 to 10120.0.
US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.90% or 1.38 to $154.95 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 1.21% or 35.50 to hit $2895.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.34% or 4.55 to trade at $1349.45 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.14% to 2863.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.00% to 896.48.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 94.97.
