  • Boeing (NYSE:BA) says it “respects the Canadian government’s decision” that reportedly will result in the purchase of used Australian fighter jets instead of the previous intention to buy 18 of its Super Hornet fighters, and the company says it will try to find ways to work with Canada.
  • But Boeing has no intention of dropping its dispute with Canadian planemaker Bombardier (OTCQX:BDRAF, OTCQX:BDRBF), as it reiterates its "commitment to creating a level-playing in aerospace remains. We will continue to support all efforts to build an environment of free and fair competition marked by compliance with agreed upon rules.”
  • Boeing says Canada would miss out on the industrial partnerships and jobs that purchasing its Super Hornets would bring.
