Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Telenet Group (BR:TNET), which rose 6.54% or 3.25 points to trade at 53.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX) added 1.91% or 0.54 points to end at 28.56 and Proximus NV (BR:PROX) was up 1.20% or 0.33 points to 27.51 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were KBC (BR:KBC), which fell 1.28% or 0.760 points to trade at 58.500 at the close. Ageas (BR:AGES) declined 0.72% or 0.270 points to end at 37.365 and Ackermans V.Haaren (BR:ACKB) was down 0.60% or 0.80 points to 132.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 57 to 51 and 12 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.54% or 6.65 to $1239.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.15% or 0.08 to hit $53.03 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.59% or 0.33 to trade at $55.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.54% to 1.0656, while EUR/GBP rose 0.47% to 0.8546.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 100.61.
