After-Hours Stock Movers:
Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM) shares were volatile after it reported better than expected first quarter results and issued strong guidance for the second quarter on a rebound in demand for smartphone chips. After initially spiking higher, shares reversed and declined 2% after it warned some customers are still working through inventory.
Align Technology (NASDAQ:ALGN) gained 10% after it reported strong financial results for the fourth quarter, along with solid revenue guidance. It expects clear aligner volume and average selling prices to be up slightly next quarter.
Aflac (NYSE:AFL) declined 3% after it reported fourth quarter earnings per share that trailed estimates.
Rocket Lab USA, Inc. (Nasdaq: RKLB) declined 10% after it commenced a private offering of $275 million aggregate principal amount of convertible senior notes due 2029.
Nextracker Inc. (NXT), a providers of intelligent solar tracker and software solutions, surged 20% after it reported EPS, revenue and guidance that easily beat consensus estimates. Revenue grew 37% year-over-year in the third quarter.
Boot Barn Holdings (NYSE:BOOT) declined 3.5% despite beating consensus estimates in its third quarter after its EPS estimate for the fourth quarter was worse than expected.
Paramount Global (PARA) gained 2% after the market close. The company reportedly took initial steps toward a possible sale by forming an independent committee outside of its controlling shareholder, according to the New York Post.
