Microsoft upgraded at UBS on cloud and AI

UBS upgraded Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) to Buy from Neutral and raised its price target to $400 from $345 given evidence of stabilizing cloud infrastructure spending, positive near-term AI catalysts, and an enticing valuation.

The analysts argue that Azure/AWS is stabilizing after a significant slowdown last year, adding:

We believe this, coupled with near-term AI catalysts as well as the material underperformance in the stock since May 1st, make the set up too attractive to maintain a neutral view of the stock.

UBS also suggests that, while the overall market conditions remain challenging, the worst may be behind, and their checks indicate the backdrop is no longer deteriorating. They also say partners have reported a gradual recovery in new bookings discussions.

Plug Power raised to Outperform

Northland Capital Markets upgraded Plug Power (NASDAQ:PLUG) to Outperform from Market Perform with a price target of $22.00, as reported in real time on InvestingPro.

The firm expressed confidence that Plug Power is now on a clear trajectory toward cash flow generation, with increasing momentum evident in each new deal announcement. The firm anticipates that Plug Power will achieve margin break-even by the end of the year and generate cash flow in the following year.
