NewsBreak: Pelosi Will Announce Formal Impeachment Inquiry – Report

Investing.com – House Speaker Nancy Pesoli (D-Calif.) will announce a formal impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump later Tuesday, The Washington Post reported.

  • The move will come amid published reports of Trump pressuring Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, who is seeking the Democratic nomination for president. Stocks initially fell on the report but recovered slightly.

  • A “growing number of House Democrats are backing an impeachment inquiry,” the Post reported.

  • Trump earlier said he would release an unclassified and unredacted transcript of his call with Ukraine’s leader.

    Exactly.  When he said he was going to release the transcript, do you seriously think he didn't have the legal team read through it to make certain there was nothing there?  I think he set this whole thing up to put the dirt on Biden and get him out.  Remember when he said he went too hard on Warren too early and how he really wants to run against her.  Might get his wish.

    Biden used extortion using American money to drop investigation into his sons oil corp. That is a crime that the Obummer admin covered up.
    The transcript hasn't been released yet, so how can you make the proclamation that it is extortion?  We don't have any evidence of anything yet.  FYI, you might want to look up treason.  It's aiding and abetting a foreign or domestic adversary against the US or it's allies.  If that's the case, and you think the information leaked so far is akin to treason, did you feel the same way, when Hillary got information FROM UKRAINE on her political enemy?  Did you feel the same way when Biden actually extorted Ukraine to fire it's top prosecutor by withholding aid?  Everything so far has been a dud and not a bombshell, probably the same result here.

    Joe Biden went there as part of the US government. Trump sent Rudi G. who is not a government employee, but a Trump Re-election employee to pressure another country. Let's also not forget the multiple counts of obstruction of justice, that every sane person knows happend. Or that he's making money of the presidency while in office. If it were the reverse Republicans would have filed impeachment on day one
    How about when Hillary paid Ukraine for information and had them leak information about her poltical enemies?  How about getting information from Ukrainian Oligarchs to try and overthrow a duly elected President?  Can we say SEDITION?  That actually happened.  Nothing so far that has been alleged actually occurred.
    We all know the president did this to shine light on Bidens wrong doing. We have to recall when Biden went out of his way to do exactly what they are accusing the president. Nothing will come of this, other than Bidens skeletons being shown to the world.
    He quite literally admitted to treason. I doesn't matter if you are Republican or Democrat, if you care about America you should care about this.

    Just a waste of time where more constructive work should be done.  Get to work congress and stop wasting the taxpayers dollars on your petty fettish of losing the election.  Biden and his boy are who are the real culprits in bed with Ukraine. . . Bottom line is if President goes so will the market and the economy.  Furthermore if there is anything illegal on President Trumps tax returns I have no doubt the IRS would have nailed him for it a long time ago.  Democrats are doing nothing more than harassing President Trump and looking for something to nag him about.
    Actually, the IRS will only report illegal activity if terrorism is involved. They are only concerned with collecting tax. In fact, there is a line on the 1040 that is “income from illegal activities”. A drug dealer by example can report their activity, pay taxes on it and never be reported. Not the IRS’s job or responsibility unless it tax evasion or terrorism.
     Not true.  Wesley Snipes went to jail for failure to pay taxes.  I have clients that have been audited and they go through your previous 5 years returns with a fine tooth comb.  They look for any abnormalities and require you to prove your return is valid and correct.  If you can't prove it, they can levy fines and penalties as they wish.  It's your burden to prove.  If you are in the top 10% your likely to get audited at some point.  If you are in the top 1% it's almost a guarantee you will get audited almost regularly.
     That said consider that Washington, D.C. is more than 90% Democrats and no one can deny the absurd hatred the majority of them have for President Trump.  That equates to a huge number of Democrats who are serving in the federal agencies under the direction of President Trump including the IRS and damaging leaks, most proven to be false, are prolific as a result.  If there was any illegal activity on his tax returns I have absolutely no doubt it would have leaked out and Pelosi and her mob would have it investigated at the drop of a hat.

    Wrong.  You don't NEED Trumps tax returns.  There is no law stating he has to provide them.  It's a custom that was started in the 70's that most candidates abide by, but it not the law.  What do you think you are going to glean from Trumps personal tax return?  Not much.  You get more information from the FEC filings than from a tax return.
    FYI, California tried to make candidates provide their tax returns to be on the ballot.  Court overturned it saying it was unconstitutional.
    I sure hope part of this impeachment inquiry is the dealing of young Biden in Ukraine. without that, it's just more dems blowing hot air.

     You do know that it was Hillary that bought information from Russians to compile the dossier.  It was Biden that extorted Ukraine to fire a prosecutor that was looking into his sons business dealings.  It was Obama that was caught on a hot mic saying he would be more flexible with Russia.  The Russian interference happened on Obamas watch and they did nothing.  Mueller found nothing, Senate intelligence and judiciary committees found nothing, six separate investigations found nothing.  I think you are mixing up who did what.  I don't like Trump and his rhetoric.  But you need to take the partisan glasses off and look at what is really going on. You probably think Trump is an idiot.  If so, how did he get all of these things past his opponents?  Just lucky?  Let's say he's a genius, wouldn't the Mueller investigation have found something?  They had unlimited scope.  All of this madness just got Trump re-elected.  He'll appoint SCOTUS.  If you get Trump, Pence will win in his place.
