Investing.com - U.S. wholesale inventories rose less-than-expected in December, official data showed on Tuesday.
In a report, US Census Bureau said that wholesale inventories increased by a seasonally adjusted 0.3% in December, compared to expectations for a 0.5% increase. Wholesale inventories rose by 0.5% in November.
Following the release of the data, the U.S. dollar was little changed against the euro, with EUR/USD adding 0.01% to trade at 1.3646.
Meanwhile, U.S. stock markets were higher after the open. The Dow Jones Industrial Average tacked on 0.35%, the S&P 500 picked up 0.35%, while the Nasdaq 100 added 0.4%.
