In a report, the Swiss Federal Statistics Office said consumer price inflation was unchanged in April, confounding expectations for a 0.1% increase.
Swiss consumer prices inched up 0.2% in March.
Year-over-year, Swiss consumer prices fell at an annualized rate of 0.6% last month, compared to expectations for a 0.5% decline, after falling at a rate of 0.6% in March.
Following the release of the data, the Swiss franc remained higher against the U.S. dollar, with USD/CHF shedding 0.12% to trade at 0.9390.
