  • NFT incorporation is reportedly being considered by Activision Blizzard (NASDAQ:ATVI) on Call of Duty.
  • An insider has tweeted this news, but Activision Blizzard did not yet claim it.
  • Call of Duty is a shooter video game published by Activision Blizzard.

The American video game company Activision Blizzard may explore integrating NFTs into Call of Duty games. The video game company is reported to be considering NFT use in its shooter video game Call of Duty.

In detail, Activision Blizzard is rumored to be building NFT-backed metaverse elements into the video games.

As tweeted by an insider named Ralph, American video game developer Infinity Ward has planned to personalize ACTV accounts by incorporating emblems, global calling cards, avatars, and statistics. This company initiated the plan following an overhaul in Call of Duty’s UX/UI (User Experience/ User Interface (NASDAQ:TILE)).

The insider further added that NFT inclusion is reportedly being considered by Activision Blizzard. However, Activision Blizzard has not yet confirmed any claims or news regarding the new venture.

Furthermore, the insider has posted a follow-up tweet saying that since a few months ago, NFTs have been under review, and in consideration. “With EA’s immediate backlash against NFTs, it can totally fall through. MTX and Content structures are influenced by trends and predictions, NFTs just seem to be that at the moment”, he added.

To add, the community members have created speculations about how NFTs would be integrated into the game; with weapon skins, cards, attires, and modes of play.

Activision Blizzard is an American video games company that publishes interactive and entertaining video games. Notably, the company is the publisher of games like Call of Duty, Candy Crush, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Overwatch, and Diablo.

Meanwhile, Call of Duty, as mentioned, is a product of Activision Blizzard, which is a first-person shooter video game that started in 2003. Its latest game series Call of Duty: Vanguard was launched in 2021.
