WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Top Senate Republican Mitch McConnell said on Thursday lawmakers negotiating the next U.S. coronavirus relief bill are still at odds about how much aid is appropriate and insisted liability protections for companies were needed.

"I think we have to have a liability reform," the majority leader said in an interview with CNBC. "I don't think the economy has any shot at all of getting back to normal if every entity in the country is dealing with frivolous lawsuits."

Forcing meat packers to chance dying or earning a living?  yeah i can see why that is frivolous. Having a Republican nut case in the house insist that any of his staff wearing a mask should be fired. Yeah especially AFTER that nut case got the virus?  Sure Mitch.  BTW, I hear you are outside the republican lead senate discussions on the virus package?  Funny since for 4 years you lead the charge. I guess your masochistic voters might think twice on reelecting you soon?
This is what a man who is bribed by big business sounds like
I was censored, used bad words like integrity and ethics
It's not Trump that created the virus, he doesn't set science to a vaccine development, he did more than the "experts" told him he should do etc etc. Don't be such fake fact snowflakes.
You guys love that word, don’t you.
The only other way that Trump could have dealt with the pandemic was a declaration of Marshall Law. Which would have been met with negative hostile retaliation. He didn't want mass violence and hysteria to break out. That's why he left it up to the individual states.
They are working on a class action suit against the GOP for their gross negligent handling of the response to the coronavirus pandemic. That is the only reason Mitch wants liability protection to protect his and his bosses (Trump Administration) behinds.
“Frivilous lawsuits?” During a pandemic when Trump has totally botched his “fight” against the virus? That’s laughable, Mitch! And you expect to retain your Senate seat in November with empty comments like that? Vote the b. u. m. out!
He’s gone. We know this.
He is right: Some limitation but not total protection otherwise lawsuits will b like poppies after the rain.
GOP care more about the business owners than US citizens' health
“Go back to your job and die,” says Mitch.
