Investing.com - U.S. crude inventories jumped almost 8 million barrels last week, way above forecast, while fuel stocks exceeded expectations as well, the agency in charge of national energy data reported, raising questions about peak summer demand typical in the coming weeks.

The U.S. crude inventory balance rose by 7.919 million barrels during the week ended June 9, the Energy Information Administration, or EIA, said in its Weekly Petroleum Status Report.

Industry analysts tracked by Investing.com had only expected a build of 1.482M barrels instead in the latest week.

In the prior week to June 2, crude stockpiles slid by 0.451 million barrels.

The crude build reported by the EIA, however, came with a small caveat: The release of 1.9M barrels from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve, without which the inventory rise would have been around 6 million.

On the gasoline inventory front, the EIA reported a build of 2.108M barrels. Analysts had expected the agency to cite a build of 0.637M barrels instead, after the previous rise of 2.746M barrels. Automotive fuel gasoline is the No. 1 U.S. fuel product.

With distillate stockpiles, the EIA reported a build of  2.123M barrels. Analysts had forecast a 0.922M barrel rise, against a decline of 5.075M in the prior week. Distillates are refined into heating oil, diesel for trucks, buses, trains and ships, and fuel for jets.

Oh I see the gasoline inventories are 7% down from the 5 year average and Diesel inventories are 14% down with US refineries almost maxed out and oil inventories are in the 5 year average which proves that oil demand is indeed increasing this is from the EIA website.
Yes, everyone, listen to R. Murph: He "manufactures" solutions for you that suit his. positioning.
Apols, but I only respond when necessary, which is quite often actually. :)
I rest my case.
Im courious, what was the import and export volumes vs the avg?
the imports are about the same as last year you can find the report in the EIA weekly report on their website.
and export?
Google um.
So 6.5m barrels we're imports and 1.9m spr I don't see a build in oil there was a buildon the other products they are making it seem worse than it is.
that oil came from somewhere else why import that much oil if demand is weak like some claim?
Do you even read the EIA report closely enough?
Go ask the guys who filled the import orders, mate.
Stop the release you doofs, it's a major scam anyway.
EVs are increasing, oil demand is decreasing, US, Russia and rest of the world pumping out more and more oil.
It really troubles me that we are completely tapping out the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Our security blanket in time of emergency is gone! It goes way beyond having a green initiative. Really sinister.
electric cars changing norms., petro golden days are getting further away.
It's about creating a fake crisis and shoveling gov money to your contacts.  And to sell the idea, you must dominate the press.  When you read from large "news orgs" things like:  "97% of scientists agree that humans are greatest cause of climate change" it is a lie.   - actually 0.3% When "citizen scientists" (actually political activists) who google searched 11,900 scientific papers on human contribution to climate change, actual scientists analyzed these papers & found only 0.003 (less than 1%) agree.
whoever typed this comment is on obviously ignorant.
So why create a fake crisis?  Of course it's about money.  Western governments/politicians must have a topic that sounds scary, real, & urgent in order to convince their populations that money should be spent solving the "crisis."  It's that simple. In dictatorships the facade is not necessary, but in democracies it is.   To sell the idea, you must dominate the press.  When you read from large "news orgs" things like:  "97% of scientists agree that humans are greatest cause of climate change" it is a lie.   - actually 0.3%
looks bullish!
What else would you say? LOL
I was kinda' thinking the opposite. Just picked up USO puts. Am I living in an alternate universe here?
