Investment Strategy

The objective of the investment policy of the fund is to achieve an above average return for the sub-fund by investing at least 60% of net assets in securities of issuers that have their head office or majority of their activity in the Greater China region. The sub-fund is actively managed and is not managed in reference to a benchmark. The sub-fund’s assets may be invested in interest-bearing debt securities issued by: – the Chinese government, – Chinese government agencies, – Chinese municipals, – companies which have their registered office in China or that conduct their principal business activity in China.

Prior to that, he worked at Prudential Asset Management in Singapore as Investment Director and First State Investments in Hong Kong as Portfolio Manager. Mr. Kwan holds an M.A. in Economics and B.Comm. in Finance from Toronto University.

In 2020, her first public bond fund with GaoTeng is awarded Fund Launch of the Year (Hong Kong) by Asia Asset Management and One Year Golden Bull Overseas China Fixed Income Fund by China Securities Journal. Previously, she was Director at Harvest Global Investments, and managed funds that were rated Morningstar five-star. Ms. Chu won The Most Astute Investors in Asian G3 Bonds and Asian Local Currency Bonds by The Asset in 2014 and 2015 respectively. Prior to joining Harvest, she served as Associate Director of Credit Research at MetLife Investments Asia Ltd., Credit Analyst at Moody’s Investors Service, and Equity Research Analyst at Lehman Brothers (Hong Kong).
