Investment Strategy

The investment seeks total return through current income and capital appreciation. The fund pursues its investment objective by investing, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in bonds or other income-producing debt-related securities from developed countries. The managers intend to invest at least 40% of the fund's net assets outside of the United States and in at least three different countries.

Previously, he was head of global equity income and specialist equities from 2013. Alex was recruited by Henderson to co-manage the UK assets of an investment trust in 1994 as an associate director. He later became the fund manager responsible for a number of UK and Global income orientated equity products. Alex began his investment career with Equitable Life Assurance Society in 1990 as a U.S. investment analyst. Alex holds a BSc (Hons) in physics and astrophysics from Manchester University and is an associate member of the Society of Investment Professionals.

Biography Job Curtis joined Henderson Global Investors in 1992 following Henderson’s acquisition of Touche Remnant. Henderson Global Investors merged with Janus Capital Group in May 2017. Job started at Touche Remnant in 1987 as a Unit Trust and Investment Trust Manager, he was then appointed Portfolio Manager of the City of London Investment Trust in 1991. Prior to joining Touche Remnant, he was an assistant fund manager at Cornhill Insurance (1985-1987), and a graduate trainee at Grieveson Grant stockbrokers (1983-1985). Job has a MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and is an Associate Member of the Society of Investment Professionals (ASIP).

Prior to joining the firm, Dan was a managing director at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, specializing in high yield sales. He was also a portfolio manager at various firms, including Henderson Global Investors, ING Investment Management and Zurich Scudder Investments. Dan began his career at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Dan earned a BS from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He has also been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Biography Victoria is Head of Emerging Market Corporate Debt and is responsible for managing the Emerging Market Corporate Debt Strategy and the Emerging Market Investment Grade Corporate Debt Strategy at Ninety One. Victoria joined Ninety One in 2011 from Nomura International. Victoria previously spent over three years working with emerging market trading desks and capital markets teams for Standard Bank and Nomura. She also spent two years running hedge fund and proprietary trading strategies for Rand Merchant Bank and Whitebeam Capital Management. Prior to this, Victoria spent over eight years working for Henderson Global Investors where she was responsible for running emerging market debt portfolios. Victoria graduated from Leeds University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry with Molecular Biology. In addition, she has passed CFA® Level III.
