Qwest Corporation, a facilities-based technology and communications company, provides a range of integrated communications products and services to business and residential customers. The company offers lower and high-speed broadband services; local and long-distance voice, professional, and other ancillary services; federal broadband and state support programs; and high bandwidth optical wavelength networks to customers requiring an end-to-end solution with ethernet technology for bandwidth connecting sites or providing high-speed access to cloud computing resources. It also offers Ethernet services, including point-to-point and multi-point equipment configurations that facilitate data transmissions across metropolitan areas and larger enterprise-class wide area networks; and time division multiplexing voice services, including primary rate interface, local inbound, switched one-plus, toll free, and long distance and international services. In addition, the company provides solutions for frequent transmission of data between wireless backhaul transmissions; and affiliate services, such as affiliates application development and support, network support, and technical services. It markets and sells its products and services under the Lumen brand name primarily through direct sales representatives, inbound call centers, and telemarketing and third parties comprising retailers, satellite television providers, door to door sales agents, and digital marketing firms. Qwest Corporation was formerly known as U S West Communications, Inc. and changed its name to Qwest Corporation on July 06, 2000. The company was incorporated in 1911 and is based in Monroe, Louisiana. Qwest Corporation operates as a subsidiary of Qwest Services Corporation.
