It serves supermarkets, warehouse clubs, and national chains, as well as foodservice customers, such as distributors, restaurants, hospitals, and other large institutions. The company was formerly known as Sara Lee Corporation and changed its name to The Hillshire Brands Company in June 2012. The Hillshire Brands Company was incorporated in 1941 and is headquartered in Downers Grove, Illinois. The Hillshire Brands Company operates as a subsidiary of Tyson Foods, Inc.
