Chrometco Limited is a South Africa-based mining and exploration company, which focuses on Chrome mining and processing in South Africa. In addition, the Company focuses on the investigation of other chrome and base metal properties for exploration purposes and on researching and investigating business development opportunities. The Company has prospects in the Limpopo Province of the Republic of South Africa. Its fields of interest include mining, concentrating, and beneficiating various metals and their ores, in particular chrome, platinum, copper, cobalt, nickel, and manganese. It operates the chrome processing plant and manages the logistics process to export product through its subsidiary, Sail Minerals (Pty) Ltd. Black Chrome Mine (Pty) Ltd, the owner of the mining right, is controlled by the Company through 51% interest in Sail Resources (Pty) Ltd, which in turn owns 64% of Black Chrome Mine (Pty) Ltd.

Chrometco Limited, currently listed on the Alt-X section of the JSE, has recently entered into conditional agreements with the Sail Group of Companies. These agreements will result in Sail acquiring just under 90% of Chrometco. In exchange, Chrometco will receive: Cash A controlling stake in two fully financed chrome projects A stake in Sail Minerals Sail is an international commodity trading company with a special focus on chrome. They are known for inventing the Chrome market’s benchmark product, Run Of Mine (ROM). Sail has exported a significant volume of chrome ore over the past few years and recently acquired two chrome assets in the Eastern and Western Limb of the Bushveld Igneous Complex. These projects are expected to produce up to 1 million tons of high-grade chrome ore per year at a competitive cost1.
