Spotify (SPOT) closed at $314.66 in the latest trading session, marking a -1.47% move from the prior day. This change lagged the S&P 500's daily gain of 0.64%. Elsewhere, the Dow gained 0.65%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq added 0.14%.

Heading into today, shares of the music-streaming service operator had lost 0.48% over the past month, lagging the Business Services sector's gain of 2.4% and the S&P 500's gain of 3.19% in that time.
