The biggest mover this week was the neodymium price with a 3.2 percent fall on the weekly Renewables MMI®.
The price of Chinese cobalt cathodes fell 2.5 percent over the past week. This was the third week in a row of declining prices. Silicon remained essentially flat from the previous week.
Following a 0.3 percent increase in the week prior, the price of US steel plate fell 0.7 percent last week. Japanese steel plate, Korean steel plate and Chinese steel plate prices did not change since the previous week.
How did electrical steel prices do this month?
The price of US grain-oriented electrical steel (GOES) coil rose 10.7 percent this month, driving the GOES monthly index to increase 10.5 percent.
